What you actually need to buy
Public U.S. price reports list a $14.99 monthly subscription, optional packs from $29.99 to $79.99, and a $150 Collector's Edition.
Four layers
Layer one is the subscription or Game Time. That is the base Forever branch. You do not buy a separate box for the old world. Skyborne and Zephras Isle are the piece the packs lock.
Heroic is $29.99 and is the cheapest Skyborne unlock, with a mount, toys, and transmog, plus one Invite-a-Friend channel in the two code guides. It did not include beta or 30 days of game time. Epic is $59.99 and adds beta (now over), 30 days, more cosmetics, and three friend channels in those same guides. The Collection is $79.99 through 11 January 2027 and adds Warcraft III Reforged, Forsaken Kingdom, and modern-game housing decor. Blizzard's own line on friend codes is 'one or more', so I do not call 1/3/3 an official promise.
