Forever, retail, and Midnight

Midnight is the modern expansion. Forever is not that expansion, and it is not the Classic replay either.

Two timelines

If the question is whether Midnight is for Forever or for Classic, the answer from the BlizzCon round-up is neither. Midnight continues the modern game, including the housing feature. Forever's launch has no player housing. A forum thread and the same BlizzCon note are the two places I used for that negative.

One subscription can cover Forever and the modern game, but the Heroic, Epic, and Collection bundles still need a careful read. Some housing decor in those bundles is for the modern game. It is not a house you place inside Forever. I keep that sentence on the pricing pages as well.

Questions

Does Game Time work on both?

A current subscription or Game Time is the access ticket Blizzard describes for the base Forever branch and for the modern game.

Will Forever get Midnight levels?

Nothing on the launch posts adds levels 61 and up to Forever.
