Hunter changes, specs, and races
Hunters keep Beast Mastery, Marksmanship, and Survival, add Humans, and fire Auto Shot only after standing still for half a second.
What changed for the class
The September hunter deep dive is the Blizzard source. Outpost's later notes put Aimed Shot at a 20-point talent, traps on a 30-second combat cooldown, and pets that scale with the hunter's gear. Auto Shot needing 0.5 seconds of standing still is the change I would feel on the first training dummy. Eighteen pet families are listed, including foxes, which Classic-era hunters did not tame.
Humans can be hunters. That pairing is new and sits in the character-creation matrix with the other five new combinations. Night elves, dwarves, orcs, tauren, and trolls remain the older options. I am not publishing a shot rotation. The pet family table, including the disputed Ghostfang name, stays on the hunter pets page because the sources do not agree which creature that name points at. The class deep dive also describes a ranged dead zone inside eight yards, traps that can be dropped in combat but only at the Hunter's position, and a lack of stun or interrupt tools. The pet can tank for solo and small-group play, while the Hunter's group role remains damage. Those are role boundaries, not a claim that any particular build is the best choice.

Questions
Do pets still eat?
The deep dive keeps a pet. I do not have a new diet table, so I am not rewriting feeding.
Which rare pets are confirmed?
The pets page lists names only where two sources agree. Ghostfang does not clear that bar.
