The spell that left, and the race that arrived

The mage-and-shaman deep dive is the Blizzard essay. Outpost's November shaman notes say Lava Burst is gone and Elemental Mastery was renamed Lightning Mastery, with Call of Thunder in the space players expected a lava nuke. Stormstrike is listed at 150 percent. Restoration's Riptide leaves a heal over time. Those are guide figures with dates, not a simulator export.

Dwarf shaman is one of the six new pairings, on the Alliance side. Orcs, tauren, and trolls remain. People asking for the best enhancement stats are usually chasing hit, crit, and attack power. I will not publish a priority list the deep dive does not print. If a single guide ranks those stats, that ranking stays one source. The class offers three distinct group contributions: Elemental spell damage, Enhancement melee damage, and Restoration healing. The November 2 beta notes are the newest class values in the cited guide: Lava Burst was removed, Call of Thunder replaced it as an Elemental talent, Lightning Mastery was renamed, and Riptide changed to healing over time rather than an instant heal. The guide also reports a six-second, 150-percent normalized-weapon-damage Stormstrike. These values remain tied to the dated notes, not an undated build recommendation.
